Discover the Little Spero ACT Difference with personalized ABA therapy for children with autism.
At its core, ABA therapy addresses the development needs of your child. We identify those needs through an initial assessment. We focus on three main domains: language, social, and behavioral.
From there, we’ll create an individualized plan for your child to target any area of need. Common goals include learning how to:
Other important areas that ABA helps with include:
These activities are set by the BCBA and are tailored to your child.
Studies have shown that children with autism who receive two or more years of intensive behavioral intervention are almost indistinguishable from their neurotypical peers. Other studies also support the effectiveness of ABA therapy for children with autism. Federal and state agencies, along with many insurance companies, include and cover this therapy.
ABA therapy shows great promise for many children with autism. That said, you know your child the best. Some children may show more significant gains than others. If you’d like to talk further about how ABA therapy may help your child, please send us a message here.
On a daily basis your child will work one on one with an RBT. They will work on a variety of skills like communication, social skills, motor movements, task completion and more. They will also participate in group activities like Circle Time, Music and Movement, Classroom Time, and Social Skills.
At our Princeton location our goal is to have 30 clients in the center and at our Prosper location the goal is to have 10 clients in the center.
Our staff go through many trainings to provide the best care possible. All of our staff go through the BACB guidelines to become a Registered Behavioral Technician, CPR training, and de-escalation training through CPI. They also receive ongoing training to maintain their certifications through the guidance of our BCBAs.
Each day, our team of 3-4 registered behavioral therapists will work with your child. Because your child sees the same therapists, they experience more consistent therapy.
The added benefit of having multiple therapists is that if one of the therapists isn’t available that day, your child won’t miss a beat. They’ll already be familiar with other therapists from the team.
Your child’s safety is our utmost priority. We’ve carefully designed our center to minimize safety risks and prevent emergencies. We also have safety plans in place should an incident arise.
We’d be happy to answer any specific questions you may have about our safety plans and protocols. This also includes how we report them to you should they occur. Please reach out to us here for more information.
At Little Spero, we’re constantly collecting data and using it to improve your child’s progress. Our BCBAs review your child’s goals weekly and reassess them every 30 days.
Our center-based program is full-time. This means we provide therapy and care for your child up to 40 hours each week.
