About Little Spero ACT

Learning your child has autism can bring up a mixture of emotions. You may feel relieved by finally having a diagnosis. You may also feel uncertain about what their future holds.

You want what’s best for your child so they can have a wonderful childhood, teenage years, and adulthood. We want that for them, too.

We believe and hope in the incredible potential of your child.

Where would we be without hope? It’s in our very name, Spero, which is the Latin word for “hope.”

Hope is at the core of all we do. It’s woven throughout our assessments, your child’s plans, and our day-to-day operations. We share this hope with you by offering personalized therapy in a caring, compassionate center.

Meet Our Team

Paul Archibeque

Chief Clinical Officer

Paul got his start working with children on the Spectrum in 2006 in a Special Education classroom. While going through college he began working as a behavior therapist for an ABA company. He was a technician for 8 years before he began his grad school work at Capella University to become a BCBA. During those 8 years, Paul was the lead RBT, he controlled all aspects of hiring, and ran the company’s social skills groups curriculum and programs. In 2018, Paul moved to New Mexico where he ran a state funded program called “The Autism Project”. While running this program he was able to travel across New Mexico teaching ABA to teachers and paraprofessionals in schools and Native American pueblos. Paul trained teachers in over 75 different Native Pueblos. Once he became a BCBA, Paul continued to travel throughout New Mexico providing ABA and supervision within schools, homes, and ABA centers. He then moved to Texas in 2022 where he continued his career as a Clinical Director for ABA centers. Paul joined Little Spero in February to be the Clinical Director of all current and future Little Spero locations. In his free time he loves to explore Texas, attend Texas Rangers games with his wife, and spend time with their Rottweiler. Fun fact: he is also a former state champion and record holding powerlifter in New Mexico. HIs passion for his field comes from not only changing the lives of the kids he serves, but also those he is able to mentor and help become future BCBA’s.

Maggie Nunemaker

BCBA

Maggie earned her Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from Indiana University in 2017
before beginning her career in social work, where she supported children with a variety of mental health diagnoses. Through this experience, she developed a strong foundation in child development and a deep commitment to helping children and families navigate challenges with compassion and evidence-based care.
After relocating from Indiana to Texas, Maggie discovered the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and began working in early intervention in 2021. She quickly developed a passion for the science of behavior and its ability to create meaningful, lasting change in children’s lives. Motivated to deepen her expertise, she pursued graduate studies at Capella University, earning her master’s degree in psychology with a focus in ABA.
While completing her fieldwork hours, she continued working as a Registered Behavior
Technician (RBT), gaining valuable hands-on experience across clinical settings. She became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in Spring 2025.
Maggie is passionate about using the science of ABA to help children learn, grow, and build skills that promote independence and long-term success. She values collaboration with families and strives to create individualized, compassionate, and data-driven programs that support each child’s unique strengths and needs.
Originally from the Midwest, Maggie is enjoying life in Texas and loves exploring the DFW area. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling with her husband, spending time with her 2 dogs, hiking, practicing yoga, horseback riding, and reading. She is excited to continue learning and growing at Little Spero and looks forward to the many opportunities ahead to further support children, families, and her professional development!

Taylor earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Texas State University and her Master’s degree in Social Work from University of Texas at Arlington. Her educational background, combined with hands-on clinical and operational experience, allows her to approach leadership with both compassion and structure.
Taylor is passionate about working with children, supporting families, and empowering staff. Her goal is to build a center and work culture where everyone clients and team members alike feels supported, valued, and excited to be there each day. She believes strong systems, clear communication, and genuine care are the foundation of a thriving ABA environment.
Outside of work, Taylor is a proud wife, a parent to a wonderful two-year-old, and a dog mom to two energetic pups. Family and balance are incredibly important to her, and they inspire the empathy and dedication she brings into her professional life every day.

Tessa Feist

Operation Manager

I began my career in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) in 2021, starting with in-home services before transitioning to in-clinic care and later into a classroom setting. After relocating in 2024, I returned to the clinic environment, where I advanced to a Lead RBT role and eventually transitioned into an operations position. Working with children has always been a passion of mine, I love seeing their faces light up as they learn, grow, and achieve new milestones. Outside of work, I’m a proud mom of two, a boy and a girl. In my free time, I enjoy coaching my kids’ sports teams and volunteering at my church. These experiences keep me grounded, inspired, and continuously motivated to make a positive impact in both my personal and professional life.

We put our hope into action.

When some parents learn their child has autism, they hope it’ll resolve on its own. That’s unfortunately not how autism works.

We’re here to equip parents with a different kind of hope – one that shows what’s possible for their child and includes the resources that bring that hope into reality.

At the heart of that is taking action. That’s also in our name – Autism Creative Therapy, or ACT. We believe it’s our responsibility as parents, providers, and community members to take care of one another. We can’t do that if we’re not moving forward.

Image of power of team work

We believe in the power of teamwork.

At Little Spero ACT, we believe in the potential of each child, and we believe it takes a team to bring out that potential.

You’ll see how we value teamwork in our logo – the clasping of three arms. Each of the three arms represents an important part of the team:

  • Your child. Your child’s resiliency and participation in therapy define their success. The skills and behaviors they learn will help them at home, in the classroom, and throughout their life.
  • You. You play a critical role in the development of your child and their flourishing. You’re the one that helps reinforce the therapy they receive. It’s our responsibility to make sure you have the support you need to do just that.
  • Us. We’re devoted to bringing creative, innovative solutions to help your child. We’re also committed to keeping you informed each step of the way.

At Little Spero ACT, we’re dedicated to:

  • Using effective approaches, tools, and toys that your child will enjoy
  • Helping your child become classroom and playground ready
  • Teaching your child age-appropriate skills and social cues in a fun way they’ll remember
  • Creating an environment of trust and compassion so that you and your child feel welcomed every single day
  • Making sure you’re actively involved in your child’s therapy
  • Providing you with answers to your questions so you’re never left guessing

We understand that not all children on the spectrum are the same. We also know that children in that 2-8-year-old zone are rapidly developing in ways unique to that age range.

At Little Spero ACT, your child is never a number. We believe in the greatness of your child, and it’s our hope that you’ll trust us to bring that out in them.
