The goal of ABA therapy is to increase helpful behaviors in your child. We primarily do this through everyday, real-life settings. The improvements we commonly see include:
A consultation and assessment are the first steps in the ABA therapy process.
A qualified and trained board-certified behavior analyst (BCBA) will start by learning about your child’s strengths, abilities, and what challenges them. They’ll then spend time with your child to better learn how they behave, communicate, and go about their day.
Our BCBA will then take the observations and use them to create a formal plan for your child’s therapy.
This plan helps your child to reduce problematic behaviors and improve healthy habits and skills. We focus on certain areas, such as:
Your child’s plan is then broken down into small, actionable steps. Our therapists will start off simple and then move on to more complex areas.
We’re deeply committed to the ongoing progress of your child.
Over the course of therapy, we may uncover certain causes or techniques that help shape your child’s behavior. This is why we regularly assess your child’s therapy and collect data during each session. This helps us to understand their progress and make adjustments as needed.
When you enroll your child in our ABA therapy program, we know you’re putting your trust in us. We take that trust seriously. That’s why we’re committed to updating you on each step your child takes at our center.
This includes daily report-outs so you can understand how your child ate and used the bathroom that day. We also provide you with tools to help you practice the therapies at home.
Every two weeks, our BCBA will meet with you to discuss your child’s progress. We’ll review their plan and talk through any adjustments that may be needed. Our goal is to make sure you have all your questions answered so that you’re never left guessing about the care of your child.
